she said its deep in his shoulder where the neck bone meets the spine. not very pleased about that!

anyway back to the condidtion problem, she said to call a vet as her horse had simular symptoms and he had a liver problem, so iv been phoning around all day owner doesnt want 1 particular vet to see him, who happened to be on call today... typical tried to contact another vet but had no luck, so im calling back tomorrow to see whos on call then hopfully get someone to come and see him... im so stressed about it, he never does things by halves, he looks like a bag of bones.

i dont know what else to do, she said keep him to keep him warm, but iv got a catch 22 situation, i dont wana keep him in coz hes depressed and i dont wana turn him out coz hes lame, and i have to turn out coz he cant get stiff but i cant coz hes not allowed to go mad in the field!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

If he's lame, definately don't turn him out! Have you got a school or a driveway that you can take him for a little walk about? If he's badly lame then I'm afraid he's just going to have to bear it - get him one of those horse balls and a lick to keep him happy.......

i can put him on the walker, let him wander around the indoor school, things like that, actually i have got a horse ball.. good idea ill dig that out tomorrow. cheers!

Oh no, poor Herbie. He doesn't do things by halves does he? Are you sure he doesn't have a book of ailments somewhere that he looks things up in and randomly chooses from? Hope he gets better, and you sort things with the vet.
