Well harmony has been in the vets for 4 and a half days, 5 and a half tomorrow. Op went well and everything has been stitched up nicely, Been having bandage changes every 2 days and not opened the wound so far! *fingers crossed stays that way* and vets are shocked with how strong willed she is and how quick her recovery is going! Got another change on thursday and also comes of her anti biotics on thursday, Want to keep her in for 2 more days after that just to keep an eye on her after she comes off her anti-biotics, so fingers crossed home by saturday! They cant give me a time limit just yet but they say about 2 months boxrest so not too bad! bandage changed every 3-4 days after that, gradually reducing the layers.
They also have high hopes of her coming back into medium/full work! first time ive had a major case with these vets and i couldnt complain once! They've been absalutly brilliant!
