All, for those of you who read my post about selling either mare or foal - thanks for the advice thought I'd update you

What WAS i thinking!!!

I can't bear to sell either of them. Going to make it work somehow this winter. sell foalie number two and then put mare on foaling loan. Either to Embryo transfer or someone who wants to breed from her bloodlines direct (Navalgem?

)

Thanks all.

Phew - that's great.

I think when things go wrong financially we all immediately think 'sell the horses'. of course most of the time we just don't need to - all we need is some creative accounting!

Really pleased for you.

I think that's a great solution to keep them both and sell next years foal

And it gives you plenty of time to think about the options after you've weaned foalie no 2!

Thanks htobago - She's a pinkpapered WB (dutch) with Lucky Boy (tb) and Nearco (tb) in her lines.

Foalie is by a WB x TB with, May Sherif, Nimmerdor (and Grannus) in his lines.

Think I have bred a monster - she's 13.1 at 4 months.
