First of all, thanks so much to all of you who replied to my post. I have to say it has helped me tremendously. My youngster is ok, he was sound this morning. Obviously I am still very upset by it all but the girl whose horse died yesterday contacted me to say she did not hold me or my horse responisble in any way. She said that the vet who attended the scene moments after the mare was shot said that the break was a stress fracture. The leg that broke was the furthest side away from my horse and it broke cleanly above the hock at the highest point. The girl said that she felt we collided rather than my horse kicked but I am not so sure. However, I have to put this behind me and move on. I could not bring myself to ride today and know that tomorrow I have to bite the bullet and do it. Thanks again for all your support. xx

That is sad news, but it is good that the owner does not bear a grudge. It is very upsetting but I am sure you and your horse will put it behind you in time. Best wishes

I'm glad you're feeling more positive after the accident; such a horrid thing to happen. It certainly sounds like your horse was not to blame in any way which is a good thing; you can put it behind you now and get back to enjoying him.

So sad, but I'm glad you hear you are feeling better than you were yesterday. H. x

BTW - Torryvald, please can you make your sig smaller? It takes up two lines on my puter at the mo. thanks!! H. x
