Can't believe the many vets would not have thought of this, come to think of it giving any person or animal a lot of painkillers when dehydrated does sound bad, and seems like something the vet would think of before prescribing!
Hope the bloods will be OK, what did the horse actually go into hospital for in the first place? I can't remember now!
When dealing with health it is best to get as much info as possible, at the end of the day your/your horse's health matters more to you than any vet or doctor!
