for everyone who posted on the "IRISH DARUGHT LOVERS" post yesterday, thank you all for your input

i actually emailed richard matson from twemlows yesterday and he has confirmed that ivor schwarzkopf is 50% irish draught and that kerrymaid (ivors dam) was a fully registered irish draUght mare giving my gelding his 25% ! so fingers crossed my application for the sports horse register is accepted !!
im not very hot on the ID breeding as ive always had welsh ponies but being 6ft tall decided i need something meatier ! bought my gelding from a dealer and eventually found his papers, can anyone who knows ID's tell me if this is good bloodlines to have ?

Being an Irish horse fan I would say all ID have good bloodlines, but obviously some are better than others. I know a lot of local people used Sportsman for their hunter mares and were pleased with the results so fingers crossed yours will be the same!

yes richard and edward were soooo helpful and got back to me straight away ! ive heard alot of good things about sportsman but cant find any piccies of him ! i actually seen him many years ago when i visited the stud on pony camp lol !! ive had my boy for a few years now (he's now 11 ) and im just starting to get to grips with the "big" shows so want to try his hand at a few things and see how he gets on ! thanks for the info !!
