I posted a couple of days ago about my friends horse who had suspected KS anyway she has gone to the vets and they have xrayed here and confirmed she has it 'about as bad as it gets'. Obviously my friend is upset but on the other hand is relieved that they have found the cause of her problems. I am sure if she didn't own the horse it would have been passed from owner to owner and may not even be with us today because of it's behaviour.
BUT what we were talking about is the fact that she has had 3 different back 'specialists' out over the last few years none of which have even suggested KS, it wasn't till another livery at the yard mentioned KS that she went down the route of investigating the symptoms.
Anyway the horse will hopefully have surgery this week and we are all keeping our fingers crossed that it's a successful outcome and the horse recovers to it's former self.
