Hi guys just thought i would give you all an update on Rock. As you know i was getting a bit worried in my last post as he was still lame (saturday) and is winding himself up on box rest. Well i trotted him up yesterday and he was sound as a pound! (though a little compensation as he had no shoe on!) im sooo happy so rang the vet and told her and she said get farrier out asap to shoe so he can go back out in field and get ridden again (he cant go out in field without a shoe on because his hoof collapses, he doesnt have the best feet!)
The only thing i am a little bit worried about is his white line has started to sink (hes prone to white line disease) and when poking it he was sore, but vet is thinking this is more to do with the fact he doesnt have a shoe on and said the farrier will be able to deal with it
So yay good news all round! Great start to the new year!
