For those of you who followed my previous post about Strawberry & her bout of lami in the summer here's a little picture of her with my 2 year old daughter. Strawberry is doing well at the moment but we are keeping a close eye on her, Isla loves her 'Strawbee'!
Super cute...

Hopefully that worked ok as I'm on my phone!

Thanks everyone, I was very worried about the little mare & still am really as she quite literally lives on fresh air! I was hoping she'd drop more weight over winter so that we could muzzle & restrict grazing to manage the lami situation but alas she doesn't seem to have lost anymore!
My daughter is really starting to enjoy Strawbs now so I'm hoping this year she actually wants to ride a bit more often.

Very cute! Glad pony is doing better :-)

Does daughter wear a hat (under hood?)? I'm pregnant with my first and day-dreaming of ponies! They start with something light like a cycle hat due to neck strength I think? is that right?

Emilieu - thank you, I'm rather taken with the little madam too! She's a bit nervous with adults but Isla can do anything with her & that picture was taken after she hadn't been sat on for months, I just popped Isla on & led Strawbs to the yard, no bother, she's worth her weight in gold to us!
Tickles - yes Isla has a cycle style helmet but it is a proper riding hat, it has an adjustable dial on the back to tailor the fit & is very lightweight, can't remember now where I bought it but I think the make is Casco? When she 'rides' Strawbs she does wear her hat but I was holding her very tightly in this picture & she only had her hood up.

Aw bless, what a super cute photo. I'm pleased Strawbs is doing well and believe me I know what you're going through with a good doer :)

Thank you Lotty, it is an actual nightmare! She gets a very small handful of fast fibre to have her vits & mins, a tiny haynet & half a small bucket of hifi molasses free per day plus we have no grass left now! The muzzle will have to come out again if it stays so mild...

My girl has 2 x cups of fast fibre, weigh & soaked hay and she's got her muzzle on

:eek::eek::eek:

Strawbs is not overly fussed about hay TBH, she'll eat it if there's nothing else but I doubt she even gets a fraction of what I'd be recommended to give by feed manufacturers etc and the half small bucket of hifi is actually just 1 stubbs scoop. I really do hope I don't have to get the muzzle out again but needs must I suppose...
