Firstly thanks for everyone's input over the last 3 months, whether or not I've always agreed with everything that's been said I've always appreciated people taking the time to offer advice, opinions and support, particularly when I was overcoming my confidence issues and dealing with H's back problems.

Since my last thread we've had the physio out who was massively impressed with the improvements we'd made since our last session and we were given the all clear to start ridden work again. H has been great and not only have I been hopping on and schooling him every night no matter whether someone is around or not (before I always worried "what if" and had to have OH around just in case) we have also started hacking out at the weekends with a really lovely livery and he's been hoof perfect, even when the hunt left from our yard just before we headed out on a hack.

After lots of suggestions to get H vetted before purchase we finally had the vet out last week for his 5 stage vetting, it was a rather eventful day as I'd been out at an awards ceremony the night before and was feeling a little worse for wear, but H was ruled as fit for purpose, albeit standing at 15hh (and still a tad bum high!) rather than the 14.2 he'd been advertised as which I was actually rather happy about. The vet had no concerns with his back and felt that the issues we'd had were most likely due to the saddle issue which is what we'd suspected.

Best of all H's owner agreed to our negotiated price, so come the end of the month he will officially be mine :) oh and we may have agreed to take part in a pairs hunter trial in March - but that's a whole other thread!

So thanks again to everyone who has put up with my moans, stresses and questions over the last few months. You're all awesome and the reason I come back to this forum time and time again :)
