Update on my it's been a year thread

Quick update, I am so excited, quick update, Trotter cross rescue had a year couldn't canter under saddle.
I have employed a lady to come school my mare once a week and start to get the mare to canter under saddle.
She gets quicker in trot but wont canter, I know she can as does on lunge and in field.
Well first session today, Had all the toys thrown out of the pram to start, She came into season yesterday and she didnt want to work, but once she realised she couldn't get away with it she worked lovely and best of all............. she cantered under saddle, am chuffed to bits big silly grin. I am so looking forward to working with this lady and Pru in the future.

It's not at all pointless to post a happy post - it makes a change from the doom and gloom which, understandably, makes up most of the forum.

Thanks still got a silly grin, sounds silly just being over a canter but it is such a big milestone for us
