update on my pony's artritis

i am on a high this morning - after arthritis diognosis 2 weeks ago have been walking out every day - have gradually reduced the bute and had a minutes trot on the soft yesterday - she seemed fine - did the same today - before she had her 1/2 sacet of bute this morning - then trotted her up for head groom who says sound but just a little short on front(bad) leg - called the vet when i got home as she wanted a 2 week update, and she was thrilled!! said i can now bring her back into work slowly but thinks shell be fine WOOOOOHOOOO!!!!! i can keep my darling pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i could weep with joy - and to add to that she went past the cows this morning and didnt even look at them!!!!! x x x

Thats great news hun. Our old boy was on one bute a day for the last 3 years and still had a canter with the herd. Those cows were obviously not the carniverous ones

hi Llwyncwn - hope you are ok - yes i am so happy - we re not out of the woods yet but the vet said i should be very optimistic - cant wait to start some faster work - and its all been timed to perfection as we have had all that rain so the going is soft - couldnt be better x x x
 
If you want to help your horse buy some Linseed from Simple Systems as it is an anti-inflamatory. Give it once a day and you should find that it will help your horse.
 
Thanks OWLIE185 - but i have found a brill supplement called premier flex with added devils claw and im using cider vinegar - she isnt good on oil surprisingly it makes her go a bit silly also she is a good doer so i dont want to add any more weight - thanks anyway - a lot of my freinds use the simple systems feeds etc and love them x x
