She's picked up a little. Vet came Friday and we checked her teeth, she has a loose tooth which will be causing her pain, her grinding plate is virtually gone due to previous dentist using power tools on her bite plate and smoothing it down too much.
Rectal exam showed solid pops which is good but it also showed long hay fibres in her poo which shows she's not grinding up her hay so won't be getting sufficient absorption. No temp, but she's slightly jaundiced. Am having teeth done with molar extraction on Tuesday and have switched her to a large bucket of Alfa A Oil mixed with Sugarbeet for her to eat overnight.
Still no clue as to why white blood cells were up but could have been stress from tooth infection and not eating. Fingers crossed shes on the mend :)
Thanks for all your kind wishes and support :) xxx

Glad she is getting sorted, poor girl.

Agree about the power tools, I've seen liveries EDT's/vets turn up on the yard and ask where the plug is before they've even looked inside the horses mouth.

My EDT told me that hand rasps shouldn't be used on elderly horses if their teeth are the slightest bit loose, as the action can loosen them even more. The power tool just nibbles away the bit that needs it. Makes sense to me.
