. Have no idea why he was being so foul tempered, could have been anything, but then we all have bad days.

But on the mud fever front, the 'wound' looked a lot better monday night which was good, so gave it a little wash off and left off poulticing it and just applied some cream. However did notice whilst i was washing it that it was seeping blood which isn't right (by washing i was gently dabbing with a bit of cotton wool so couldn't have made him bleed if that makes sense). This morning it has flared up again and looks awful and scabby and has spread seemingly overnight, so fortunately vet already booked for thurs am, but definately suspect something sinister - as BooBoo's suggested maybe vasculitis.

But anyone know of anything I can feed to boost immunity? He developed cellulitis from a fairly innocent cut back in the summer, and his body is obviously struggling to cope with whatever he has now - he's obviously prone to these things

Can horses take echinacea ?- It's brilliant for the immune system, my cat is on it at the moment.

yes i give it to my mare, you can buy it in a big tub and feed as a suppliment in their feed I was told my mares sarcoids may have been due to her immune sytem being low and since feeding it she hasn't developed anymore and her others have shrunk i don't know if its related.
