thanks everyone for their advice. I went with the idea of trying out the cob today but he had already gained a lonaer during the week as has the grey
so I rode a mare who is about 17hh 17 years old a beautiful chestnut ex hunter. She is in foal but isn't due to stop work until the end of April so I am loaning her till then.
she isn't a regular school horse she is only used fo rlight hacking and schooling and that will continue with me.
I just wanted to update you all and ask how long before foaling does a mare usually stop working?
