So its 3 days till Great Witchingham on Sunday - have my times today Spiders dressage isnt too bad 10am so means a 6am leave (not as bad as the 4.30am leave @ Poplar) although with the clocks changing will still feel V early!! Mental note to get early night sat!!
So took it slowly with Mac after his fall @ Poplar he had a few days off the did light work, was absolutely fine when I started riding him so thats good, I hacked him sat and sun and took him out for a coupl eof good canters then took him up and down our water jump and he was fine so happy about that!!
. Had a jump lesson on him last night and he was good but wasnt really concentrating probably where he hasnt been jumped since Poplar and we was jumping quite big last night so he has one stop where he totally wasnt listening - and then jumped lovely and started to concentrate!! SO that was good. Going to school him tonight, lunge tomorrow and go through my test quickly sat!!
On to Spider!!! The quirky "I know better" at 4 1/2 yrs old pony!!
She had a couple of days off after Poplar too as she is young and perfomed so well bless her, I schooled her the Tuesday after and she went lovely, then had a jump lesson weds and again was a little super star jumping some bigger fences and really listening. Schooled her again Thursday and concentrated on some lateral work shoulder in, leg yield etc and she actually really surprised me and wasnt too bad at it!! Good thing is she always tries. Had plans to hack her at the weekend as I did Mac but Friday she lost a front shoe!
So lunged her and she was quite sore
took her for a walk round the farm sat on the grass and was ok, thought I would try an dleave her in as she has farrier Monday but she had other ideas and decided to thrash around and cut her head!!
So thought id turn her out rather then come back to a horse with a leg missing or something!
so she had Sunday off and I fittened her Monday with 4 shoes!!! Had a jump lesson on her last night and she was so so full of it! Bucking and squealing! Being very opininated but I must say jumping beautifully!!! Really using herself and pulling me to everything! so a very
me about Spidey pants!!!!
So if you got to the end of this well done!!!! I am quite bored at work as you can prob tell!! So onwards to Sunday and will have a full report Monday (as stupid laptop broken!!) with pics hopefully!!!
