Well the vet came again this morning, bright and early!!
After taking the bandage off (It had been on since Tues) we all gasped in amazement when her leg actuallly looked slimmer than the other front leg. Jokingly I said, are you sure you put the bandage on the right leg?? LOL, the vet scratched his head in amazement and said he had never seen such a swollen leg (and I am talking elephantitis here!) go down so quickly. phew, sigh of relief from me. Lixwm is still a little tender around the tendon area, so he strapped her up again, after cold hosing(I personally think it was the other leg that needed that tho!! lol) gave her a last shot of antibiotics. another bute in her breakfast, and said he would be back on Monday next week to scan her leg, just to make sure that we havnt missed something. She is still not out of the woods yet, until the scan is done, but she is no longer lame, allowed in the small paddock now for short walks, and the vet looked very pleased.
I cant tell you all how relieved I feel, I never thought I could let something like this affect me so much, but I seem to have spent the last 4 days either in a daze or in tears.
I will let you all know how the scan goes.
