Well on from my previous thread about my youngsters eye and how it was improving.
http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=517477&highlight=conjunctiva

Well it went downhill again so got the referral vet out today to take a look.

Pics are after the visit today.

She couldn't examine the actual eye as it was too well hidden behind the swollen conjunctiva.

It turns out that there was alot of trapped air inside it and after piercing with a needle it went down a fair bit - you can just about see the needle marks.

Back on the Penstrep jabs and on antib drops without steroid.

It has improved tremendously in just half a day so I won't say hopefully on the mend as I have said this before and it has got worse!

Good news is that if we can continue to treat at home as we have been doing she doesnt have to be taken in so that is better all round.

Poor Mini, she is such a poppet.

I read your earlier post. Really glad the vet seems to have gotten to the bottom of the problem and it's improving. I bet she'll be so relieved once all the swelling's gone down and that eye's back to normal. Hope she carries on improving :)

O bless her. I feel awful for the poor little lamb, that must be so uncomfortable. I really hope you've got to the bottom of it now. What a good girl to let you all go poking around in there.

We still don't know what caused it in the first place so that is a mystery? Never seen anything like it before.

She was sedated to have the needle put in and have it poked about - too risky otherwise!

She is being good having her drops and her jabs done though.
