Don't know if anyone remembers my post on my new kitten?

Took him to the vets the following morning. By then all the fleas had died off. He had his first injection and wormer. Vet said he seemed generally a healthy kitten.

Roll on last week he started to look sore on his front left paw and was reluctant to put weight on it. As the day went on his paw began to swell and ooze pus so took him back to the vets. The vet drained and cleaned the abscess, gave him some pain relief and antibiotics and asked to see him again the next day. Took him back the next day and was a bit perplexed as to what it was. His other paw looked saw and he had some form of lesion on his head! She said to continue the antibiotics/keep his paw clean for the next few days and see how he got on but if he got any worse to bring him back. That night he started sneezing and seemed to have a sore nose like he was developing cold sores so took him straight back to the vet in the morning to see the head vet. Head vet seemed to think that he was having some form of reaction to the vaccine. He had developed a few other lesions on his head/ear/mouth etc. He dressed his paw and said it was quite unusual and wanted to do some research and see him again in the afternoon. Had a phone call a few hours later to take him back as they wanted to take biopsy's as were now worried it could be herpes!

They ran some in house blood tests which also showed he was very anaemic (not sure if this could be due to the flea infestation) so is on some high calorie food. He's had 3 samples taken from his head and one from his paw and i'm now waiting for the results so know where to go next.

He's picked up a bit in last couple of days and is starting to act more like a kitten but what a start!

Awww poor kitty and you. Hope it gets better soon. And you maybe right, the flea infestation could well have caused the anaemia, really nasty little blood suckers!

Yes we are both poorly at the minute. He's such a little fighter though! Be interesting to see what results of biopsy are.
