Ellen Collinson very kindly answered my question regarding the 'oaty poo' we experienced when Bee started on the soaked oat diet during the summer.

Basically she recommends sticking with the diet, some passing through is normal and to soak the oats 12 - 24hrs before use, with an hours rest time after soaking and before feeding. This is perhaps where I went wrong. She also said digestion would settle down once we were on only oats, and not half oats half mix!

So for all those oaty poo horses, no worries, keep on feeding!

She is so lovely isn't she!! She's certainly on my xmas card list, for all the help and advice she has given. When I need to renew my vit/mins I'm seriously thinking of giving hers a trial.
