So after umming and arring over loaning or selling my lad, i decided to pull myself together and crack on with anything possible to keep him & improve our relationship!
Well someone must have told him the plan! He has been much better behaved, we have hacked in company and alone, without mishap, he is still spooky and nappy alone, but we managed a tractor with a horse eating grass cutter hanging off the side last night, ok so he had to turn to watch it leave to make sure it had gone, but my god thats an improvement on ending up in the ditch!!!
We played in the school last night after our mini hack, my friend was amazed at the difference in him. I have managed to now get on from steps with him standing still, this still needs work, but is improving daily! Anyone with any mounting tips to share??
Have saddle fitters coming out on 3rd aug, his back was fine when checked, have noticed tho the more i school him the worse he appears on the right rein, ie bends his head out at times instead of in??? any ideas anyone? Have dentist coming out next week as he still has part of a wolf tooth (burried in gum, with tiny bit exposed, dentist said last yr wasn't causing him pain as he could touch it and tap it, i cant remember which side its on), which doesn't seem to cause a prob asking for contact, but thinking maybe its causing him probs to bend?
Sorry this ended up so long!! Hot/Cold/Alcoholic Beverages of choice for reaching the end
