Update on Poorly Spaniel

Morning!

Thought I would give an update on our poorly spaniel.

Took him for a second opinion yesterday. The vet thinks it may be cancer, they operated straight away removing the lymph glad from his leg and taking biopsys.

We have to wait 7-10 days before we have the final results, he looks so poorly laid on the couch. He is on pain relief and antibiotics.

Went home at lunch time to give him his pain killers and he was laid in a pool of blood. Tried to see if he would wander around/have a bite to eat but no joy. Rang the vet to see if this is to be expected, ended up taking him back to the vets to go on a drip. I think the time has come to do the right thing and call it quits. The results of the biopsy are not due for another 3 days but he isnt fighting to get better. Got an appointment with me and OH and the vet at 5 to make the final decision. The landowner who Dice worked for has offered to bury him in the wood he used to work in. We always knew he would be with us until the end but thought he would be around a lot longer than this.
