Good news yesterday
The swelling has moved down from the elbow, so they were able to re xray & all ok - no fracture
So def just a severe infection, from what was a fairly innocuous cut.
He is moving about on it much better but it is still swollen from just below the elbow down to & including the knee. However he finished his IV antibiotics yesterday & will now have a further week of oral ones.
As long as all is ok in the next 24 hours, I can collect him tomorrow morning.
He will then have to stay on box rest with 15 mins walking twice a day while he's still on the antibiotics. If that all goes ok, and the swelling continues to go down, he should hopefully be back to normal by next weekend.
