UPDATE ON ROCKY (FLAT FEET PICTURE POST). VIBES PLEASE

Rocky still is not right today - he isn't lame and hopping, he just doesn't seem right. He normally strides out really happily but he isn't now, his stride is really short and on occasional steps he does seem uncomfortable. And stones are a no no - he is sore walking over those.

He has had the eggbars on for over a week now and I spoke to my farrier and he recommended going to the vet.

He is booked in at the vet clinic tomorrow at 3.30pm. I have already phoned their accounts dept and they have told me I can pay off my bill in installments. Stupid insurance

.

At the end of the day - if miraculously they don't find a problem in an xray then at least my farrier can see the xrays to know exactly what he can do with the feet!

I am just frightened that it might be something serious

so can I please have some of those famous vibes please !!

it is all best to get everything checked and at the end of it I would perhaps consider a pad of somesort either the equipak or horse trax pads as it may be that being flat footed he feels everything a little more than normal

Have you chatted to your farrier about putting in the equipak since his feet are flat this may be causing him some discomfort and the equipak might just be all you need? Fingers crossed for you both

ahhh big hugs - I know how you must be feeling as have been through it. You are doing the right thing by getting him xrayed, once you get them you may s start to see what is going on in the hoof.
