Posted yesterday about having to withdraw from the sj at MK 3DE due to possibly tendon issues got him scanned today and he has a thickness of the skin in the left fore... vet has no idea why.... Could be due to bandages?! Tendon is all good in that leg...phew thank god for that onto the right fore the tendon is about 3x bigger than the left vet reckons due to old injury, tendon is absolutly fine just bigger in size... Now this im kinda annoyed about, he passed a 5 stage vetting 7 months ago with the view to event him to novice level + and this wasnt picked up... Should it have been?? The vet at MK picked up on it by touching his leg after a trot up! My vet who are rossdales btw! Said its an old injury and shouldnt hinder him in anyway, its possible that the reason this leg has swelling and heat in it more than the left is because hes using this more to compensate. Hes back in for another scan on monday to see if theres any changes im guna keep him on boxrest just in case he decides to mess about over the fence with the others, will turn him out when im about at lunch times instead. Im sooo happy its nothing too major but slightly worried as to why they blew up like they did?! :/ will play it safe this winter and keep him on surfaces and probably dabble more in the dressage fingers crossed mondays scans dont show anything more sinister thanks for all the vibes!!
