Well, it didn't take a lot of convincing from you guys!

With the help of Moomin1 (well, essentially all her help, I have nerve damage in hands and can't pull well!) my pony is all tidied up and looks like a mini Milton.
Seeing as people took the time to look and comment I thought I'd show you all the after piccies :)

We'll be starting proper ridden classes next year and delving into some small WHP classes if I feel he's ready.

I'm going to go against everyone here and say hog him, take the feathers off and show him as a cob.

He is too heavy to be a shp - they have age limits for heights as do pony workers.

For part bred classes you show to type so you can show him as a hogged cob in them.

Just looking on my phone but to me he looks to be grey and white and thus you can get away with putting him in coloured classes until he whitens out.

I see where you are coming from EKW, he is quite heavy and also he has the cob rump too, but atm he is still quite under developed on his topline as yet so I think hogging him would be a bad idea just yet. Certainly something to consider when he is more developed though.

Pretty pony, I'd trim his jaw and squeeze his ears together and trim off the excess too.

Don't worry, it will be! ;-) Today was just getting rid of the main bits, and his ears will take some work to get him used to having it done as he's a bit tetchy having his ears squeezed atm!

Thanks everyone, I can't stop looking at the pics! Ears were trimmed after pics but they are a work in progress as he's a wee bit funny about them!

I was bricking it prior to the hair coming off, but so glad I did now :)

I have PMd you, but just want to say on here that he looks fantastic, well done both of you. You can look forward to next years showing, cracking pony.

awww, what a cracking pony. Bet you are going to have some fun on him. Very cute and with a lovely kind eye. His mane and tail look fab. Feel free to pop to mine and give my lot a make over.;)

Actually, on the matter of his tail, I am not sure I have taken quite enough from the sides midway down the dock - what does everyone think? A bit more to accentuate his buttocks (!)?

I think the tail looks fab and perfect as it is but you are right it doesnt quote sit between the butt cheeks. I think i'd leave it though as so easy to over do it

Hats off to you thats a great job

Thanks. I am not 100% happy with it so may tweak it slightly (with Mileaminute's permission of course!!), but like you say, it's so easy to ruin them so am always a little over cautious with tails. Will have another look tomorrow. :-)

Thank you Justabob, your help has been invaluable! I shall be sure to keep updating you on his progress :)

Thanks again to everyone for your lovely comments x

He looks fantastic. As you probably know WH are 13hh and then 14hh so if he is 13.3 he will sit in that class beautifully, although I expect there will be plenty of very, very big 14hh!
