pony's good had different vet and a very odd experience Delia was (the grey) was stood tied up when she started looking really worried and kept turning around and acting up couldn't see any thing went to groom her tail and a big larvae came out her bottom called vet as i was feeling rather worried and she had some blood around her bottom also, any hows new vet said he want to come see this larvae and wouldn't charge! turns out they both got bot lots of bot larvae in there guts the vet was impressed as he had never see them come out like they came out of Delia (he saw her pass one) they where still alive we think what happened was the strong wormer upset them that's why they appeared. so its a lesson why to remove bot eggs on your horses legs! Both pony's both come from same place so they had it as bad as each other and explains why they both had colic (new vet treated the colic) the link below explains about the bots if any ones interested!

I think this was suggested in your original thread as a possible cause.

A good reminder that horses with an unknown history should be watched carefully after the first worming, let's hope no long term damage has been done while they were infested

Then I think you should ask for some advice from the vet next time you purchase a wormy pony.
