Update on Spey.

Holly was speyed on Friday and had the full spey the scar isn't as big as I thought it would be. She cried the first night and seemed to be in a lot of pain, next day she was full of beans.has had her 3 day check and everything is fine. Have always had male dogs the castration seems easier for them.

Im glad it went well, the first night they are always a bit fragile although Pip didnt cry at all she just slept and like yours was full of beans the next day.

Glad she is doing well. The crying the first night was possibly just the result of the GA, vets usually give them a decent amount of pain relief to come home with so they aren't uncomfortable. Castration is certainly a simpler operation, they are under for far less time and it isn't as intrusive a surgery, but of course you do have the emotional trauma of losing their boy bits (if you listen to male owners sympathising with their dogs).
