Update on Spike (inc pictures)

Spike is coping well so far with box rest. He seems really chilled and lots of people have commented about how he has changed so much and seems far happier.
He is going for short walks twice a day and enjoys having a munch on some grass

Today was dressing change day so I took the opportunity to smap some pictures

I can't believe how much more comfy he already looks. He doesn't seem tucked up at all in comparison to previous pictures and just seems to have a happier stance

Not looking too bad I don't think for 1 week after surgery.

Oh bless him, I think he is looking really well considering what he has been though! Will he be ridden once he is fully recovered?

Yes we really hope so. We have big plans for him if all works out ok

He had an op for kissing spines. Had 2 spinous processes removed a week ago wednesday.

I noticed the exact same changes in Owen just after he had his KS surgery!
Spike looks well, hope that the rest of the rehab goes as smoothly!

Bless him, I can't believe how different he is already, gone is the nervy, worried looking horse and in his place is a lovely affectionate happy looking Spikey!
