Well the Chiro came yesterday and saw spooky. Nothing too dramatic to report. He did have a bit of stiffness in his neck, withers and spine and his pelvis was out of line which she put right - he really enjoyed that and I must admit that he was a much more relaxed chap this morning.
I explained and showed her what he does and she agreed that is it quite a feat for him to lift his belly as high as he does (trust me - that is quite a belly to lift!!) so the next mission is to get a Saddler to come out and see him - which is easier said then done!! It seems that there aren't many Saddlers in Devon that want to travel to exmouth and deal with a Wintec saddle at the same time! Does anyone have any reccomendations of anyone?!
The final thing that she decided to throw into the mix was that it may be worth investigating Gastric Ulcers, as he has been quite stressy in the last month, which can be a trigger of these ulcers. She said that it is now being looked into further and alot of horses with girthing problems seems to suffer from gastric ulcers. She knows of one that had a 3 day course of meds from vet and was a different horse after. So doesn anyone have any experience of this or comments to make?!
