SO got to the yard the next morning to find pony's leg twice the size it had been. Had the vet out and although unable to tell exactly what he had done presumed the equine equivilant of spraining his ankle. He put him on box-rest with an anti-inflamitary injection, stable bandage, bute and a pootle round the school in the evenings. (This was tuesday morning)
Escaped from his stable yesterday to much hilarity and no harm done fortunately
I took his bandage off last night and was really pleased as to how it was looking, had gone down loads, went for our evening pootle and seemed really happy in himself. :)
Vet came again today to see how he's getting on and has said that there's too much fluid to tell if there's still a problem :( he's on walking 2 times a day, no riding, cold hosing and warm bandaging. I'm gutted as I'm supposed to have training this weekend and a dressage competition.

I have no idea what I'm going to do if he's done something serious, so excuse me whilst I go and cry in a corner. (I'm prone to over-react, can you tell?)

Try not to worry too much...I am an extremely paranoid owner, I swear I take such caution when it comes to my horse and things still go wrong, then I look at other people who don't take certain precautions and nothing bad ever happens to them.
Try and keep your chin up :) you have I look at all the good things aswell as the bad. The fact the swellin has gone down must be a good thing right?
