Ovidius' advanced dressage schoolmaster Gus/Goggins/Grandeur B has been with us for nearly three weeks now and has settled in like he's been there for years.

He's starting to build up now - thanks to tons of hay and Dr Green starting work

He's turned out with 5 others and is having a ball out in a herd - acting like he's about 3 and spending most of the day playing!

His loaner is gaining more confidence with him every day and really getting to grips with his way of going - and finding her other horse easier to ride as a result.

Charlotte Lassetter came over on Sunday to give them their first lesson, so they've started to introduce more lateral work into his schooling - and typical Gus is producing it all right away!

The plan is to get him out for lessons with her regular trainer (Paul Hayler) in a few weeks, then start taking him out for some Elementary classes (HC) after that.

Will try and post some piccies tomorrow

Lol sounds like Ovidius is running a loan scheme on here - I'm picking up one of her ponies tomorrow as a companion for Missie!

LOL!!! Loan Scheme! I like that one!!!

Glad that he is doing so well Twiglet..... After being given a clean bill of health and coming back into work gradually with caring knowledgable owners, it is nice to hear that he is bringing so much joy!

As promised, some photos of the man himself! This was on Friday - it was blowing a gale and raining, and he was the consumate professional

It was Sophie's first time riding him in a double so he's not very 'together' as she was getting to grips with two reins again.

Am so pleased that S & L are pleased with him and that he has settled so well..... I hear he has been playing with the others in the field like a three year old!!!
Just what he needed - a home where he was doing a job.....
