Was up yesterday and checked on them, their stable has been totally cleared, they are covered in louse powder, 2 large haynets are hanging and according to OH they have been up cleaning them out everyday. Oh and they had 2 large containers of water

They are still in the same stable, when i seen them they seemed to be licking each others bum. Im glad to see they are now getting treated better. Maybe now they will start perking up, im just scared that will start the fighting.

Is it normal for them not to want to eat alot after being starved?

Oh Mae is starting to look better too, shes been getting the iodine on and the wee patches on her face is clearing up and hair is growing back, just trying to combat the patches behind her ears.

Cracked with YOs daughter as she said it was Mae that could have given it to the 2 neglected ponies, even though they had it first!

That's good to hear the poor ponies are now being cared for. Well done you

Glad to hear there's been an improvement, well done to you for bringing it about. Have the owners given them any exercise at all yet?

No they havent had any exercise yet, YO said not to put them in the arena to run about as he doesnt want his daughters horse to catch whatever they have. They still need their feet done and they need a vet to get their teeth done.

Im just glad they now have a clean bed to lie down on, clean water and hay that isnt covered in poo or pee

I am glad about that. Its normal that they wont eat a lot, they aren used to it, so they will fill easily, my horse was very starved when I got him and he ate a pitiful amount (he more than makes up for it now!) also if they are not getting exercise their appetite wont be huge. I also would not be to worried about splitting them up, it might cause them a bit of stress if they are used to being together. Right now I would just leave them as is.
