Well my girl Spur is alot better today and even more happy that her mates are staying in with her, other mare that was colicy, is a little better, but not fussed about eating much at the moment, but again she is happy that her field mates are staying in. The gelding Lewis with the fractured pelvis has made it through the night with out getting down, but still need your positive vibes, he also seemed a bit brighter in himself today, but again that might be because nothing is going out.......... So thank you for yesterdays vibes, I'm 100% sure they are helping......

Really pleased, however it is beyond me how you are going to keep that horse from lying down for 7 days!

Please give Spur a special hug from us#

I know and to be honest the owner last night p**d me off, she didn't seem to be bothered, one of the other girls said what happens if he goes down and she replied with "well if he does then that will be the end of him, not much I can do about it", oh but there is, the vet wanted to take him in, but because he is not insured she said she couldn't afford it, well I'm sorry but I would have sent him in and then thought about the bill after.......

I will give Spur a hug from you all, thank you everso............... XXX

Would it not be possible to cross tie the horse with the fractured pelvis. We had to do this with our pony for 6 weeks when she fractured a bone in her leg. It was a star fracture and vet said if she lay down it was likely to spiral up the whole bone

. Sending loads of healing vibes to all 3 of them.

Vet did suggest cross tying him to start with, but them back tracked on that and said to leave him with a rather large straw bed and hope that he didn't try to get down..... Thank you the vibes...........

Not sure, this is what the owner has told us, so not sure if it has something to do with the fact that she wouldn't be able to monitor him over night, vet did say he was concerned that if he did try to get down and the leg went that he would end up hanging himself........ Who knows, owner is not bothered about the horse, she spent 20 minutes with him last night and that was it and she has two to do........
