She also said that although I initially had Ellie on permanent loan now she owns Chad when she has Chad back she wants Ellie back too. That might be as soon as the end of this year

I am now looking for my forever pony if anyone knows of anything suitable do let me know. Around 14 - 15hh, preferably coloured Gypsy Cob, but anything cobby considered. Mare or gelding. Not looking to do dressage, hunting or owt like that, content to plod around the lanes and fields and pop the odd log when we come accross one. Can cope with spooky as long as not overly stupid. No buckers, rearers or bolters though. Happy to take on a nervous horse or something that needs a bit of work.

She gave Ellie up as she had started a new business and didn't have time. Ellie is 27 so pretty unsellable really.

She bought Chad a couple of months ago to stop him being sold on (she knew his owner 3 years ago and knew the horse well) and asked if I would have him on loan.

I fell in love with him, he is my horse of a lifetime and I am really really pissed off at the moment

Silly woman, they would have had such a nice home with you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time you have with them and find something nice afterwards too

If your current loan horse suits you then I'd keep it for as long as poss and personally wouldn't look for anything else at the mo. You never know people can and do change their minds especially where horses are concerned. Do hope it all works out for you but in the meantime enjoy having a lovely horse.

She is lovely really, and she never intended to have Ellie back, but since buying Chad she now says she wants Ellie back too. I was under the impression when I took Chad on that it would be a very long loan, possibly permanent, but it seems that she will be in a position to have Chad (and therefore Ellie) back much sooner. I'm still pissed off though

I'm on the Notts/Lincs/S Yorks borders, so a bit far from you. Thanks anyway
