UPDATE on what I thought was

Bloat.
Was speaking to my vet tonight about my jack russel terrier gulping in air and licking the ground and he has told me it is anxiety attacks and nothing that can't be worked out with either calmers or a dog behaviourist. Phew! as I did panic the other week when she had a attack of it twice in a week.
So there you go just thought I'd let you all know.

I board a cavi, that does this, she is also an anxious /nervy little thing, her lips are stained she licks them so much.

Tilly isn't that nervous or shows she's anxious as she'll happily sit out on the garden wall and watch fireworks go off, she does go mad and scatty if OH sits nexts to me or cuddles me. She's a rescue dog and I had her from a year old so really don't know what happened to her in that first year of her dear life.
