Update on yesterdays post about 'Opinions on this chap? I quite like him'

Depending on what you would want him for, for showing he is not marked well colour wise, the roaning on his near side bottom and the positioning of his patches on the off side don't really do him any favours. Hard to see clearly too but he looks a little straight through his hind leg on some pics?
 
I like him but IMO he has a common head and its hard to tell but is he straight through the shoulder?
He will be built like an outhouse when hes mature I should think!
 
Negatives for me are the roaning on his bottom (cosmetic I know, but I'd have to look at it everyday :rolleyes:), looks rather straight through the shoulder and he's looks quite straight through the hind leg as well. Mind you, I can't afford perfection!

Maybe better photos would have pursuaded me, but going on what I have I think he'd too far away to warrant a visit. Maybe if he'd been just around the corner..... but he's not. Shame as the original advert photo really caught my interest. Ah well. Maybe someone else will see him and like him. He's going to be a big built boy. The type we're after but really, I should stop window shopping. It's very naughty of me.
 
I have to say that I went back and checked the first photo to see if it was the same horse. He looks quality in that one, but very common in the video. I can't see him being a top competition horse, more a RC all rounder. Depends what you want him for.
 
Spyda.... i think he is unfortuante that he creates an optical illusion... you get drawn to his dark colouring... but then he looks like he has a really thin neck where its white.

I think you will find a lot nicer horses adverised on here for that money.

Are you looking for something in particular ? mare or gelding or are you just waiting to see what you come accross ?
 
I've just looked at the video of him, as I couldn't see it last night. He does actually look as if he could be a useful sort. However, he's really straight through his hocks, and for that reason alone, I wouldn't personally view.
