"update" price change query

just took a call from people selling the horse that had gone up in price. they said they had someone coming today but they cancelled as school frozen. and would i meet them half way and give them £3750 . i pointed out that horse up for £3500 advert still on internet. people replying at that price and making appointments and i viewed at that price so NO i won't. i explained that ono means under the asking price not over. what a cheek some people have. i felt a bit angry today. like they are playing with us
 
no they are now sticking at £3750 and i am now being stubborn at £3500. i have noticed that there is 3 adverts on internet all saying £3500 ono
 
Well it's a good sign really that they rang you! Stick with it, keep looking at others, hopefully you will find something else either better or a good second choice. Maybe by next week they will accept the £3,500 you want to pay. They're still cheeky beggars though for putting you through this. Phone them next week and see what they say then... (if they haven't called you)
 
does that count as false advertising then ? id stick to your guns to. the sellers sound desperate to get shot of the horse and as carthorse said the cost of keeping him will soon add up. the extra 250 they are hanging out for is what ? 4/5 weeks in keep ?
