So, havn't posted for a while! Tend to lurk most of the time and havn't managed to get anyone to take pics. However... finally persuaded my housemates to tag along to meet Sadie and come out (on foot) on a hack with us. They seemed to look forward to it, but did not take me seriously when i told them it would be extremely cold and quite muddy
It was only a couple of weeks ago that i hacked her out for the first time as i usually only have her tuesdays and thursdays so its always dark (roll on summer!). Shes also the first horse i've ever hacked on my own, but despite the wind and a few spooks she was good and i even braved a canter last time!
The housemates decided she was lovely and quite liked grooming her so we taked up and headed out. She was very chilled for most of the way, although even at a very slow walk the housemates were miles behind so we had to stop a few times
All went well until one of them accidentally dropped my brand new DSLR camera in the mud! Thankfully landed on its side and not the lens but at this point we were just coming over the hill. Sadie did not want to stand still and i soon noticed why when we carried on and heard the sound of those extremely annoying, screechy dirtbike motorbikes! Could just see them in the distance and they were racing around doing jumps on mounds of earth! As good as Sadie is i thought if we carried on we might end up making a swift exit home (without the housemates!) and so i turned around to go back. The housemates were also playing stuck in the mud in their very (cough) appropriate shoes (uggs and some brand new leather boots, silly!), so back we went!
Anyway here are some photos of her, somehow looking very clean! Just started having some lessons with Shelley Brooks who is fab and after one lesson has made a real improvement! So hopefully will persuade one of the housemates to come and take some schooling pics when we've improved a bit more
Thanks for getting this far
