My mare in april gave birth to a lovely colt (who by the way scored a first premium in the BEF futurity!) anyway I weaned over a week ago and today was the first chance I had to do some work with my mare! In one day she's gone from broodmare to clipped, mane and tail pulled, washed and ridden!!! She loved the attention and her coat was so gloriously shiny when clipped!! She's even got dapples showing which I've never noticed before! Anyway I got on her and she instantly came on the bit, trying to do everything she used to do but her body was a bit lagging behind, she tried to canter but ended up bunny hopping which I just had to laugh at! Her Muscles aren't in the shape they were! She was sooooo gooood, a little bouncy but more than easy to cope with, I've missed riding her and instantly I remember why she is my one in a millon horse!!!
