Well, I got a text from livery today and I text her back saying I will take the responsibility on of finding him a new home and I need the Passport and details of the old owner so she is bringing it up tonight and I will phone them immediately or get in contact as quick as I can, either to get their permission to sell him or loan him on, I will then draw up a contract and get it signed to say that I have permission to do this on their behalf and then try and find him a new home from there. It is probably a foolish thing to do in all honesty but I cannot just let him sit and rot in a field somewhere.

I went to get him this morning from the field and he was way at the bottom and I called and he came running up and winnied, and just now I went to check him in the stable and he whickered, so how can I let him just go without even trying to find him a home. I wish I had the money and time to put into him myself, but realistically I am looking for a new job and will be moving away soon and so I cannot have him long term either.

Thanks for all your advice and I will keep you posted as the saga goes on.

Do you think I am doing the right thing?? :D

Yes off corse, but do you think it is a good idea to take on trying to find him a new home?? Hmm bit late now really but hey ho!! I really hope that they let me know asap!!?? :D :)

I do think you're doing the right thing. The poor guy deserves to have someone in his corner. It's a lot to take on but it doesn't sound like anyone else is going to do right by him. This way you'll know he's in a good place and you'll be able to rest easy knowing you did all you could for him. There's a lot to be said for that, whether it's your responsibility or not.
