I've entered the 2ft10 class here this weekend. Does it ride ok and are those gallops up the hill as long as they look? Is the water really a drop in? Can you tell the fear is kicking in already lol?

No seriously if you've been is it a decent course for a semi novice horse?

sounds like upsall grange nunthorpe?

if it is the gallop up is long but normally you go across the fields rather than use the gallop at first with a step half way up followed by a left turn to a fence (gives you a little brake half way up) and then go back up onto the gallops

fences jump well but come up quite fast in the middle part (normally theres a corner, elephant trap, phesant feeder, logs along a stretch towards the woods and owl hole/ hunts mans leap just as you go into the woods

in the woods theres a log ditch log combo that normally causes a few sticky moments but rides ok if you ride positive

the waters fine yes theres normally a step but it shouldnt be huge for your class

you'll be fine and should find it educational for him just make sure you dont go too fast early on and we expect a report

Actually horse will probably be fine with everything except maybe the water. I take it the log ditch log is basically a coffin. What is a huntsmans leap, and is an elephant trap just an ascending thing? How big a corner as she's only ever tried a corner in an arena made of poles although no probs there?

Thanks for all help.
