upset dog

My gran was rushed to hospital yesterday and last night my uncle had my grans dog. Tonight mum has brought her to oyrs as she gets on well with my puppy, but she just isn't herself. Apparently she didnt eat a lot last night and she just doesn't seem intrested in anything. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to help her settle as she'll be here for a week or so at least.

I think you prob just need to be reassuring and patient with her.

does she have her own bed and bedding with her? can you perhaps bring something over that smells of your gran, a jumper or something? what a shame

Exactly what I was thinking. Our dogs will relax anywhere if in their own beds, yet when we left them with my dad and their beds were at home they weren't happy..

Give her lots of fuss, hopefully she will be ok.

She doesn't have a bed as she sleeps in my grans bed.
I think we are going to take the 2 dogs on a walk as thats what she expects when she sees me.
I hope she'll settle and get back to herself (well except for the yapping!)
