i have had my TB chance for the past 3 years and ever since i got him hes throw in the odd buck but never been tragic, however the past year or so he has became dramatically worse, over the past year he has managed to get me off at least 3 times while he was bucking and most of the time he hasn't had any reason to buck as all we could be down is walking around the block which he has done over a billion times, i have had a vet out for him and the vet didn't seem to do an awful lot apart from recommend getting a physio out, i also got out a dentist and his teeth were fine and had a saddler out to check his saddle and they said that was fine too. so i got two physios out for him in the past month and they have both found in stiff in the neck and tender in the pelvic area, so they gave me some stretches to do with him and he wouldn't let me do them with him, so i have been taking him for a walk in hand around the track and hes been fine with that however he is becoming more and more sore with back and pelvis area and even now when he is eating out of his hay net or grazing he is lifting his neck and head with his chest and he generally looks constantly upset, could anyone give me some sort of advice what i could do with him please :(:(:(:(:(

Get your vet back out. You followed his advise and it didn't work. Have you been back in contact with the physio that you can't do the stretches?

Sounds like something is catching him and making him react rather than just a naughty horse. I would be inclined to get a decent equine vet you trust to maybe give a second opinion. Have you noticed any other symptoms, ie., is it worse when he goes downhill or is he stiff in the mornings, is he better or worse after work? Did the vet test his feet or do flexions or watch him move in the school, my vet would want to see him move to get an idea of any lameness as sometimes it isn't obvious. If he can't do stretches and has soreness, he sounds like something is out of kilter. Have you had an instructor check your position when you ride? If it is transferring up to pelvis & withers a shot in the dark might be footsore or hocks too. In fact it could be anything as problems can be secondary caused by an inital underlying problem, I think you need a decent vet to get you started. Also, try taking a video of him being worked and watch how he moves and how his feet land. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
