URGENT: Freeze mark trace!

Hey guys.. the below is posted on behalf of my friend who is a police offcer.


Without going into details I'm trying, work related, to trace a particular freezemark. Tried Farmkey and Freezemark ltd. Now it's the turn of you guys...

The first question - one symbol in the freezemark is like a capital I with a longer horizonal line halfway down the verticle, I'll try and digital doodle it here...

Make sense? Has anyone seen this mark before? Know the issuer?

Further, it's possible this mark was originally a 1 or an I, so onto question 2

Does anyone know of any thefts of a skewbald, don't know sex, 14 - 15.2 hh, light to medium weight freezemarked.

Sorry, read your post earlier and i've tried google but come up with nothing!
Only imput would be have heard of no thefts. Farmkey would usually be the place for people to register thefts.
Have you tried the stolen/ theft section of HHO?
 
I thought there were only 2 companies that did freezemarking, the 2 you mentioned. Could it be foreign? Or a DIY job? Or an attempt at de-facing the original?

Skewbalds/piebalds are the most commonly stolen horse. All you can do is ask people to email the details out and post on forums, etc in the hope someone may know the horse.

Can you clarify that it is a Freezemark and not a hot brand.
