hey guys long story basically i asked how much notice i have to give to hand my notice in on my livery at the current stables, didnt get a reply asked again no reply, so about 4days ago i said that im probably going to be handing it in soon, txt her last night saying that im leaving at going at the end of the month (till ive paid up till) now shes txt back at 11:30pm last night saying that i have to be out today or shes gonna let my horse loose?! i dont know what to do, trying all local liverys (dunmow and surrounding areas) but they dont have space/not available please help

Unfortuantly I think you have gone about it slightly the wrong way. Texting is never a great ideal when it comes to business. If your contract doesnt say anything, and YO didn't give you a response, you should have written a letter saying I will be leaving on "x" date.

If you have paid for livery until the end of the month, then you should be recieving this (unless you have seriously breached your livery contract). Until such time, YO, legally (and morally) should not be setting your horse "free". I would suspect this would also fall foul of the animal welfare act. (think thats the correct name for it.)

May be worth ringing the police and telling what YO has threatened; a loose horse wandering around on the roads is a danger to motorists...

she never answeres her phone so i have to text, she said ive broken the contract so i have to be out today and basically its tough, plus im not getting the full livery service i pay for which is why i want to move

What yard are you moving to? I am presuming as you handed in your notice you have a yard to go. Why not just go to your new yard a little early?
If you haven't got somewhere to go then I think you were rather stupid handing in your notice. I suggest you go & talk to the YO & see if the situation can be sorted out.

If you know where she lives, then hand-deliver a typed (and copied) letter indicating that you have informed the police and the local welfare officer of her threats and will hold her accountable, should she carry them out. Remind her of the contract points which *she* has not carried out and that the breach of contract occurred from her side. Also remind her that you have paid until the end of the month and legally if she wants you out today, then unless specified otherwise in the contract, she must honour the period paid or compensate (refund the livery cost). Have to agree with GP, though - why did you mention notice if you don't have anywhere to go?

she lives on site, shes denying that it could never possibly happen that they didnt do what they was meant to when i tried to talk to her about it, i have reminded her she said ive broken the contract by asking about how much notice i have to give as i may be moving to another yard which i was looking at at the weekend, i have said i have paid till the end of the month but she wont listen she said she wants me out and thats the end of it

Where is your closest horse feed supplier or tack shop. Usually they have notices in there - or see if theres a facebook page in your area you could join. As someone mentioned on your other post, there isn't alot of other livery yards in your area you're looking for, so is it feasible for you to go further afield?

She sounds a most unprofessional yard owner and wow what an immature threat. You are right to leave by the sound of things. If she hadn't given you notice and you are paid up to the month end I can't understand how she thinks she can behave like this?
