*Urgent Help Please!* Barneys not well ..

Before i start hes just been taken to the vets im just interested to hear if anyone recognises these symptoms.
.
Yesterday morning my mum walked Barney, he picked up a sausage in some bread and him and his friend managed to eat some before they could get it off them.
He then came home and threw up, and slowly over the day became sluggish and not himself. Late last night he started to keep one of his eyes closed for no obvious reason, i just assumed he had bashed it (he walks into things sometimes) Or the cat had taken a swipe at him but there was no damage to his eye, no discharge ect so didnt worry too much. He then started crying for no reason in the middle of the night but soon settled back down and fell asleep.
When i got up this morning hes hardly moving his back end at all, needed alot of pursausion to get off the sofa and go in the garden. He seems to have a lump on his side that wasnt there yesterday (although he bashed himself there the other day when he mis judged agate ) So we called the vet and managed to get him in the car. Havent heard from my mum yet so wondered if anyone recognises the symptoms?

Thanks, just heard back from my mum, hes got a stomach infection and conjunctavitus (sp?)
Got some antibiotics and eye drops so should be feeling better soon!

Hugs and sympathies. I know how worrying it is when they are not well. Still you now know what is the problem so all good wishes that he recovers quickly.

Vet thinks the sausage caused it wish people would use bins! Should be able to walk the dog on a dog field without having to worry about what hes gonna pick up and eat!!
I would hope he's learnt from this .. but i doubt it!!

Not to super scare you, but there was a story in the news recently about someone intentionally poisoning pet dogs by leaving food spiked with poison around

Glad he's on the mend though!
