Okay, I know I'm an idiot - my general knowledge is pretty okay and my legal knowledge is good too, but my ability to do any sort of maths is total crap so I need your help.

I've just advertised my Handling Stocks and my Paddock/Lunging Pen and I've had two enquiries this afternoon asking what the diameter of the pen is.

So I can't work it out - and don't say just to walk from the middle of it or anything like that please, because at the moment it's in the paddock in a different shape to a round shape - I've got it attached to the back of my barn and using the back of the muck heap wall so it would be impossible for me to pace out or measure.

So, it has 12 panels in total - each measures 8' wide. So what is the diameter? Would appreciate an immediate response please as I've promised to get back to the prospective purchasers this evening. I know so many of you are brain-boxes, so this thicko would like some help. Cheers.

30 foot diameter

Perimeter = Pi x Diameter
8 x 12 = 3.14159 x D
Diameter = 30.56'

It won't be perfect as not a perfect circle but close enough as there are so many sides!

If its not a circle its impossible to say what the diameter is as it doesnt actually have one. But the diameter will be roughly 30ft.

Diameter is Circumference/PI

So if panels are 8' wide, circumference is approx. 12 x 8' = 96'

So diameter is approx 30 feet.
