I am moving my other mare into her new stable today but she is in all day because it is the geldings' day out. So, my other mare has a month old foal with her and they will be out all day so their stable will be empty.

Would I be able to put my other mare in the mare and foal stable while we move all of her matting over? Or would this put the foal at risk having another horse in it?

Becki, knowing you, you could eat off the floor in Hannah's box and I'm sure Grace's hygiene will be just the same so she won't be carrying any nasties with her for that short time.
I'm sure it will be OK; have to admit, I have done it in the past. If it eases your conscience then give it a spray of diluted disenfectant afterwards - on the other hand, I wouldn't do that in case Troy is sensitive to it, I'd just wipe over the surfaces with a damp cloth and also shuffle up the bedding.

Thanks... I have cleaned it all out properly but to be honest she just pulled all the bankings down and munched on the haylage Hannah had left. Grace is now installed in her huge stable! (with a new haybar
