Its all the same thing, the Asian beetle, 'American' (I know they're not actually American), the Harlequin ladybird and the Halloween ladybird are all the same species :) Its also called the 'Many named ladybird' sometimes. Thanks, I'm pretty sure if you're in America they would either die or be confiscated on the way over :(

Found this handy ID guide on BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14043356

I think I have some near us, I'll send you some :)

Heya, 7 spots would be great as well, there are people working on all different species here. I will PM you my address for posting :) Thanks!

Email University of Sussex, when I was there our accommodation (Park Village) was full of them!

haha I second that! I lived in park village and we had a massive infestation of ladybirds pretty much all year round ... only on one side of the building though (and thankfully not mine lol!)

Ladybirds are Go! Sent off 1st class!
Feisty little beggars were trying to escape in my kitchen. All American type.
Two of my customers have serious infestations each year, even getting on the kids beds and they smell awful. Really hope they don't threaten our delightful English ladybirds.
